“Our son Lewis has just graduated from St Ciaran's and will soon be sitting his Leaving Cert there. From the start Lewis has been treated as a young man and been shown respect, kindness and support from everyone in St Ciaran's.

Lewis started first year in St Ciaran's in 2019 just as covid was starting. This was an unusual time for everyone with a lot of time at home but the teachers were always available online to offer help and support with work. The teachers are amazing and Lewis has loved his time there. Lewis is leaving St Ciaran's a happy, confident and ambitious young man with a clear view of what he wants to study in college and we are very grateful to everyone there for helping and supporting him along the way.”

“St. Ciaran’s Community school has exceeded our expectations as parents and was the best choice for our son. After the 1st week of starting school in 1st year, I recall my son Tiernan saying “I miss Primary school, none of the teachers really know me”. That was the 1st and last time he ever voiced what I would call innocence and a sense of deeply missing all the attention and recognition he received from his Primary school.

The staff at St Ciaran’s are amazing from the secretaries, the cleaners, the dinner ladies, the teachers, the vice principal, and the principal. The transition from Primary to secondary appeared seamless. The teachers strive to create a strong work ethic and the mutual respect they have for their pupils is respectful and caring. They recognize all abilities and levels of learning. They embrace academia and take pride in their pupils’ grades whilst acknowledging all other diverse achievements.

St Ciaran’s has brought out the best in our son and we really want to thank you all especially those who have personally supported and facilitated his remarkable journey. Achievements come from students themselves, however the teachers encouraged Tiernan every step of the way and he had enormous respect for all of them. He had made so many friends at St. Ciaran’s, he would even say the teachers have become his friends saying they all genuinely wanted to make a difference. Several teachers do extra studies for their students in the run up to their exams and are always willing to provide support.

TY was excellent at St Ciaran’s; they went to school every day with Friday allocated to work experience. I would recommend this to any student attending this school as we felt Tiernan matured and embraced the student life at St. Ciaran’s even more.

Graduating from St. Ciaran’s was emotional for Tiernan, but he has matured and is prepared for whatever the future holds. Your support, guidance, and positive impact have not gone unnoticed. He has had the best 6 years and St. Ciaran’s has prepared him for all eventualities.”

“Having just finished 6 fantastic years, we cannot speak highly enough of St. Ciarán’s CS and the outstanding care they show for every single student. From the minute 1st years are welcomed in, it’s clear that this is a school where students are truly seen, heard and valued. The staff go above and beyond - not just to deliver the curriculum with dedication and enthusiasm, but to nurture each young person as an individual with unique strengths, needs and potential.

What sets this school apart is their unwavering commitment to student wellbeing. They have created an environment where kindness, respect and support are woven into the very fabric of daily school life. Teachers know their students- not just their grades but their personalities, challenges, hopes and dreams. It’s a place to grow in confidence.

We are incredibly grateful to have been part of the St Ciaran’s community. Eanna has thrived in this environment and on our behalf thank you for the care, dedication and support that you provided over the past 6 years.”

“Our daughter spent five wonderful years at St. Ciaran's, and we couldn't be happier with her experience. She truly looked forward to school every day, feeling a real part of the school community and always coming home with a good story. Right from the start, the school showed they put her well-being first. When she had a hard time settling in her first year, they happily accommodated her to move to a different class where she'd be more comfortable, and their no-nonsense approach to bullying gave us great peace of mind.

The teachers genuinely care personally about their students, always being available for support individually and arranging after-school study sessions for the junior and leaving cert exams. She really bonded with many teachers throughout her time who offered both help and encouragement along the way.

St. Ciaran's really helped foster her growth. She loved playing basketball with the school team and got the opportunity to eventually be captain. Yearly awards are given to students for their achievements, recognising not only academics and sports but their overall school community involvement, such as volunteering with open days and Christmas fair events, helping teachers with practical work in other classes, green schools, and other successes. It led to her winning a School Leader Award in her final year which she was very proud of.

St. Ciaran's has left a lasting impression, instilling a strong work ethic and an ambition to succeed. She started shy but left with confidence and lasting friendships. We'd tell any parent considering St. Ciaran's that they truly focus on the student holistically, nurturing not only their learning but also their character and growth. We are delighted our next child gets to start her secondary school journey in such a supportive environment.”

"Our son Matthew spent six very happy years in St. Ciaran’s and we only have good things to say about his time in the school. Our sense is that the school always put the welfare and well-being of the students first, making it a welcoming environment for all. Matthew has had many great experiences in the school, including a lengthy exchange programme to a Spanish school in TY, the annual talent shows, the many trips and the friends he has made along the way. Thank you to all the staff for their commitment to the pupils, for their excellent teaching and for creating and maintaining the culture and ethos of inclusiveness that exists and is so evident in the school – we really appreciate all your hard work."
