U19 Team Enjoys Sensational Victory in North Leinster Soccer Final

St Ciaran’s U19 soccer team showcased their incredible skills and teamwork during an impressive victory against Lusk in the North Leinster soccer final today in atrocious weather conditions. With a remarkable score of 8-0, our team displayed their determination, skill, and camaraderie throughout the match.

The impressive goal scorers included Cameron Feehan, who netted two goals, Daragh Brennan, Jacob Flood Norton, Charlie Murphy, Michael Hoey, Liam Barry, and Thomas Doogan. Each goal showcased the team's diverse talents, from stunning volleys to long-range efforts.

Cameron Feehan, the team's captain, demonstrated exceptional selflessness by giving up the opportunity to secure his hat-trick, leading to ecstatic celebrations among the team. The victory was founded on the relentless hard work of the team's back four, consisting of Oisin O'Reilly, Cian Rourke, Rian Early, and Joe Lennon, and also goalkeeper Shea McManus who kept a clean sheet despite the constant attacks from Lusk's front three.

The team’s substitutes Joey Byrne, Oisin Yore, and Dylan Farrelly made a significant impact on the match as they joined in the latter stages. Their fresh legs and relentless effort ensured that our team continued to dominate the game, securing another solid victory for us.

As the final whistle blew, our team sang with enthusiasm, acknowledging that the journey is far from over. With their sights set on the Leinster Championship, we are now just two games away from securing a spot in the highly anticipated Leinster final. It's hard to believe so many years have passed since Ollie Murphy, the legendary GAA footballer and former student, led his team to victory in the North Leinster title. Now, it's his son Charlie who has stepped up to the challenge, continuing the family legacy and contributing to yet another triumphant return of the cup.

Congratulations to the all the players, their dedicated and hardworking coaches Mr Mark Fallon and Mr Michael O’Donoghue, and all our supporters on this remarkable achievement. Good luck for the upcoming matches!
