St Ciarans CS open night for prospective students is on Thursday 13th October.
Principal Cara McLoughlin's talk at 5:30pm followed by a tour of the school and subject information.
The school welcomes 6th class primary girls and boys and their parents/guardians. This is an opportunity to view the wide range of subject options and modern educational facilities available to prospective students.
The week beginning Monday 10th October St Ciarans will be focusing on Friendship and Wellbeing.
Monday marks World Mental Health day and students will be completing the static coast to coast cycle to raise awareness.
During the week there will be walks, coffee mornings, yoga, cmindfullness colouring and meditation as we focus on our wellbeing and friendships.
The daily themes are
Monday - What is mental Health
Tuesday - Mindset
Wednesday - Peer Pressure
Thursday - Stress
Friday - Its Good to Talk
The week concludes with a guest speaker/musican to speak to students about mental health.
Parents Association Fundraiser - Clothing Collection
Next week we will be holding our annual Wellbeing Week and are asking our whole school community to participate in our 'Drop Everything and Get Active' competition during the week of February 28th. This event will be in aid of Pieta House and Women's Aid. Teachers, staff, students, and their families are encouraged to take part and spot prizes have been provided for the most active student in each year group. Next week we will also have a whole host of talks, workshops and activities planned to promote wellbeing so keep an eye out for our social media posts and school website. Friday the 10th of December is Christmas jumper day in St Ciarans. We're showing our Christmas spirit and supporting the children's hospital and our local SVP.
